FMT Staff Security Screening

All of our Security Officers are fully screened and vetted in accordance with BS 7858.

1. Selection of staff is crucial to the ongoing success of our business. Advertisements for staff are placed on Jobcentre Plus/ Direct Gov jobs website. We often recruit staff following recommendation from existing employees.

2. Once an application is received, We select the applicants for the interview process. An invitation is then sent for the applicant to attend a local interview, which, is always carried out by a Senior Manager. If successful at this stage, applicants are invited to attend an induction training on site.

3. At this stage the offer of employment is deemed probationary and the employee is employed subject to satisfactory completion of screening.

4. At this stage the offer of employment is deemed probationary and the employee is employed subject to satisfactory completion of screening.

5. The screening process then continues and at least five (5) years (or back to leaving full time education) of written satisfactory references must be received and documented, within a sixteen week period from the commencement of Probationary Employment, before the applicant can be cleared for Permanent Employment.

6. Ongoing monitoring is then continued on all personnel, to ensure we are aware at the earliest possible time of any changes which may indicate that an employees suitability may have become reduced to an unacceptable level.

1. FMT Security Charge Rates ?

Our charge rates are very competitive. We will beat your best quote. All charges are subject to Value Added Tax at the prevailing rate. Hours worked on Public/Bank Holidays are charged at Double time. All enhanced rates are passed on to the security officers on duty.

2. The duties of Security Operatives

The duties of Security Operatives on the site and derived from the initial site survey / client written instructions and or any other separately documented requirements / instructions; and as agreed with the client, are contained within the Assignment Instructions located on-site and understood by security staff employed within. Duties include, but are not restricted to; To provide a high profile security presence and to patrol the site as necessary to deter theft, vandalism and all other forms of loss. Control access to the premises during the hours of duty. The fire, flood and security integrity of the assignment during the hours of duty. Trainers are SIA (Security Industry Authority) trained and registered to ensure personnel are fully conversant with the latest security training techniques and resources. Core Competency Training for Security Guarding is delivered in Two stages as follows: PART 1: Knowledge based training and assessment (3 Days) Role and responsibilities of Security Operatives Customer Care and Social skills Fire safety Health and Safety Dealing with incidents and emergencies The Law (Civil and Criminal) Procedures for the control of keys and equipment Assignment instructions Reporting PART 2: Practical scenario based on training and assessment.
